The Best AI Image Generators

AI Image Generators - cyberpunk art done with midjourney

AI image generators, also known as AI image synthesis or deep learning models, are computer programs that use artificial intelligence algorithms to generate new images. These algorithms are typically based on deep neural networks, which are modeled after the structure of the human brain.

These image generators have become increasingly popular in recent years due to advancements in deep learning and the availability of large datasets. These programs can generate images in a wide variety of styles and genres, including portraits, landscapes, abstract art, and more. In this article, we gonna explore some of the best AI Programs & sites you can use to generate images for personal or business use (Both Free & Paid generators).

Quasi is a multi-AI platform that offers free image prompting alongside ChatGPT-style text generation too. In the near future, they are going to be supporting the Sound AI generation as well. They offer a paid and free version on their website, paying 5$ monthly which is a lot more affordable compared to Midjourney for example, the trial allows also access to most of the stuff too, so it’s definitely worth trying out plus they also have a referral program.

BeautifulAI platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to analyze the content and structure of a presentation and automatically generates design suggestions that align with the user’s intent. You can include recommendations for slide layouts, color palettes, fonts, and graphics, helping you create visually appealing and cohesive presentations even if they lack design expertise. It’s probably one of the best tools I’ve used in terms of creating infographics and anything of that sort.

getimgAI is a great image generator AI tool that has a lot to offer in terms of image customization especially when it comes to the reference image. They offer free credits when you signup for their service and offer 4 different monthly subscription models that are not bad when you look at the pricing per prompt. I also have to say their interface is rather nice and very easy to understand and use.

Dreamlike.Art is another excellent Image prompter service that you can utilize to create beautiful & accurate images. What I really like about this one is that the platform is very fast and easy to use, they support a lot of different SD Models and are ideal, especially for anime-style art. Getting free credits also allows you to try it out before considering buying a subscription, which is more affordable if you go with the yearly plan.

(+) Pros

(-) Cons

As of right now, Midjourney is probably considered the most powerful and accurate tool for AI Image generation. Currently, in the beta, all the prompts are generated via Discord and you are able to view your prompts from the website dashboard, but no prompting is possible as of right now on the website itself.

The scope of Midjourneys capabilities is quite far in the sense that it can create Logos, concept art, photograph-style images, and pretty much anything at this point except partially transparent images (renders, but I’m sure these AI generators will handle that in the future).

(-) Cons

PlaygroundAI is another slick AI prompter that has a very cool design and layout that utilizes stable diffusion models with some extra features that you don’t really see in all the sites out there I really like that I can customize my image after it’s been generated, which is something lot of people who don’t have photoshop, for instance, are going to love.

DALL-E2 was created to generate high-quality images from textual descriptions. It builds upon the original DALL-E model, which was released in January 2021 and generated significant interest for its ability to create original images from text descriptions. We can consider it the progenitor of Image prompts – however a lot of the competition has caught up with them and they have slightly fallen out of favor especially due to the fact that there is limited access to their prompter.

Stable Diffusion is a latent text-to-image diffusion model capable of generating photo-realistic images given any text input, cultivates autonomous freedom to produce incredible imagery, and empowers billions of people to create stunning art within seconds.

The best part about Stable Diffusion is their open-source approach and the fact that it doesn’t cost anything to create images, most of the time there is just a small ~90-person queue and after that you get your image prompted.

Wombo AI was developed by a team of engineers and data scientists at the University of Waterloo in Canada. They started out with the lipsync AI application and later created the “Dream” which is meant for AI image generation.

One of the benefits Wombo has is that you have also the option to generate these image prompts via their mobile application which is available on iOS and Android.

(+) Pros

(-) Cons

Craiyon, formerly DALL·E mini, is an AI model that can draw images from any text prompt you give it, created by some former people who worked on the original DALL-E project. It comes with a free version and then there is paid version that allows faster prompts – given how fast the free version is there isn’t that much incentive to use the paid version outside of having a privacy option.

(-) Cons

Microsoft Designer is a web-based design tool created by Microsoft that allows users to create professional-quality graphics, documents, and presentations. The tool offers a range of features and templates that make it easy for users to create visually appealing designs for a variety of purposes.

Currently, there is very limited information about Microsoft’s AI service so I can’t comment too much on the quality that it actually offers outside of the tech demo they have demonstrated.

Now there are a lot of forks out of stable diffusion which basically uses the same code base with some tweaks, decided not to feature them here, because I will do a separate article where I talk about them. I will try to keep updating this article on a frequent basis
